A making your own web design is somewhat like fixing your car yourself. When making the web page try to see if the web designer uses heavy graphics. This is not wanted because the site will be sluggish, amateur looking and frustrating for those clients with slower connections. Also flash multimedia is a questionable subject, usually is not needed, an amateur web designer may make a common error in putting (usually) your logo tossing around your webpage that needs preloading and cost you loosing impatient customers. Study shows that more than 90% of people click on skip intro button when it is available. So if you see this on your web page try finding a new web designer.
